Garth, formerly an owner with Hazel & Thomas, P.C., joined Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley, Emrich & Terpak, P.C. as Principal-in-Residence of the firm's Manassas Office in 1999. He received his J.D. degree from American University in 1982 and has been in practice in Northern Virginia ever since. His practice focuses upon a wide range of commercial transactions and litigation with an emphasis on debtor/creditor and real estate and lease-related transactions, construction law and business tort litigation in Virginia state and Federal courts. Other areas of experience include commercial lease drafting and negotiations; and, counseling business clients through a variety of employment, corporate and partnership disputes.

Admitted to the Bar in Virginia and the District of Columbia, Garth is a Member and Past Director of the Prince William Bar Association. He is also a Member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the bar associations of Virginia and the District of Columbia. He is lead counsel in workouts and/or creditor litigation on behalf of several regional lenders, and is involved in a wide range of litigation pursuing collection of both real estate and asset-based security for lenders and other creditors.

Garth has served as a director of the Prince William Bar Association, board member on the BB&T Bank advisory board, committee chair and board member of the Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce and President and Director of the Bull Run Kiwanis Club.
