Cathy joined Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley, Emrich & Walsh, P.C. in November 1998. She was formerly associated with Hart and Calley, P.C. in Alexandria, where she practiced land use, zoning, and eminent domain law. She has continued that practice representing clients in Alexandria, while serving clients in other Northern Virginia jurisdictions as well.

Cathy serves on the Boards of Directors for both the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. She also serves as a council member of the Alexandria chapter of the NVBIA, and belongs to the Eisenhower Partnership, the Alexandria Bar Association, and the Arlington County Bar Association. She is a prior member of the Resource Development Committee for Healthy Families Alexandria, and prior secretary of the Alexandria Youth Policy Commission.

Cathy is a graduate of the College of William and Mary (1989) and the National Law Center at George Washington University (1995). She is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
