Tom is a specialist in the area of real estate law, with a focus on the development, transactional and business aspects of real estate. One of the firm's founding principals, he has specialized in the practice of real estate law in the Northern Virginia area since graduation from the Washington College of Law of American University in 1972.

With considerable experience in both the private and public domains, Tom notably represents parties in complex real estate transactions and property owners in the formation of community and condominium associations and in real estate tax assessment appeals.

Tom serves on and with various management and professional committees, such as the Board of Directors of AHV Group, Inc. (Arlington Health Venture), and Arlington Eldercare Corporation, subsidiaries of the Arlington Hospital Foundation; the Regional Advisory Board of Chicago Title Insurance Company; and, the Real Estate sections of the Virginia State Bar and the American Bar Association.
